Day 01: Arrival in Lucknow – Drive to Nepalgunj
This morning, as per our pre-arranged meeting point, you are required to report at the designated bus station or airport in Lucknow. Upon your arrival, our representative will receive
you and assist with your transfer to Nepalgunj, which is approximately a 4-hour drive. Upon reaching Nepalgunj, you will check in to your hotel and have some free time to relax and refresh. In the evening, a short briefing will be conducted by our tour leader regarding the upcoming journey, and necessary items such as duffel bags will be distributed.
Overnight stay at Cygnett Hotel or Similar in Nepalgunj. (Dinner)
Day 02: Nepalgunj – Simikot (Flight) – Hilsa (Helicopter) – Drive to Taklakot (3,700m) Early in the morning, you will board a domestic flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, which takes approximately one hour. This flight is subject to weather conditions, and delays are common in this sector; therefore, we request your patience. Upon arrival in Simikot, our local representative will assist with immigration formalities and guide you to the Helicopter boarding point for a 15-minute flight to Hilsa (Nepal-Tibet border).
At Hilsa, you will be received by our local representative and may be required to wait for the rest of the group. Once all members have assembled and necessary Chinese immigration
and military formalities are completed, you will proceed across the border into Tibet and continue by road to Taklakot (Purang), a drive of approximately one hour (25 km).

Day 03: Acclimatization Day in Taklakot (3,700m)
Today is reserved for acclimatization to help your body adapt to the high-altitude environment of the Tibetan plateau. A light walk around Taklakot town is recommended. This is a
vital part of the journey to ensure a safe and successful pilgrimage. Overnight stay at Himalaya Hotel or Similar in Purang. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 04: Taklakot – Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Gompa) (4,560m)
After an early breakfast, depart by road to Lake Manasarovar, located near Chiu Gompa, at an elevation of 4,560 meters. The drive from Taklakot to Manasarovar takes about 2 hours.
En route, you will make a brief stop at Rakshas Tal (Lake Ravana) to enjoy the spectacular views with the majestic Mount Kailash in the background. Upon arrival at Manasarovar,
pilgrims may perform ritual puja, hawan, and take a holy dip in the lake according to their religious beliefs. Overnight stay at a guesthouse near the lake in dormitory-style accommodation. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 05: Lake Manasarovar – Darchen (4,750m)
After breakfast, you will proceed to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash, which is about a 1-hour drive. If weather permits, you may have a clear and mesmerizing view of the
sacred Kailash peak. Overnight stay Himalaya Hotel in Darchen. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 06: Darchen – Yam Dwar – Diraphuk (4,780m) – First Day of Parikrama
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive approximately 10 km to Yam Dwar, the auspicious starting point of the Mount Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation). At this location,
the group may split: those not undertaking the trek will return to Darchen, while others will begin the first day of the Parikrama to Dirapuk.
The trek from Yam Dwar to Dirapuk is relatively flat and spans approximately 14 km, taking around 5 hours to complete. The trail includes a few river crossings and offers a striking
view of the north face of Mount Kailash. Overnight stay at a basic guesthouse in Dirapuk (dormitory accommodation). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 07: Dirapuk – Dolma La Pass (5,600m) – Zuthulphuk (4,780m) – Second Day of Parikrama
Today is considered the most challenging day of the Kailash Yatra. Early in the morning, begin your ascent to Dolma-La Pass (5,600m), the highest point of the pilgrimage.
The steep climb is demanding, and weather conditions can change rapidly. Just beyond the pass lies the sacred Gauri Kund, a glacial lake believed to be where Goddess Parvati
bathed. Following the pass, the trail descends steeply toward the valley floor and continues on to Zuthulphuk. The total trekking distance for the day is around 22 km, and i
t takes about 8 to 9 hours to complete. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Zuthulphuk (basic dormitory-style accommodation). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 08: Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Drive to Taklakot – Fly to Simikot
After breakfast, you will trek for approximately 2 hours (8 km) to reach near Darchen, where your vehicle will be waiting. From Darchen, drive back to Taklakot and complete
immigration formalities on the Chinese side. You will then proceed to Hilsa via a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) to reach the helicopter boarding point. After completing border procedures, you will
take a helicopter flight back to Simikot. Overnight stay at Himalayan Hotel or Similar in Simikot. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 09: Simikot – Fly to Nepalgunj – Drive to Lucknow
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will board a fixed-wing aircraft from Simikot to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival at Nepalgunj airport, our representative will assist you with
a vehicle transfer to Lucknow. This marks the end of your sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
